A messge from John Rolfe - SIWSC Chairman
At the end of March, I received the resignation of our Club Secretary, Tina Male. New challenges and responsibilities, in her private and professional life, involving studying for new qualifications and helping to run a successful shoot, were factors influencing her decision to resign.
The secretary’s job is, without doubt, most demanding in terms of both time and commitment. Tina has generously given her time and full commitment to the role and to the Sporting Irish Water Spaniel Club, over the last two years. Her ability to organise and manage the numerous day to day matters, involved in running a breed club, has been ably demonstrated. It was with regret that I had to accept her resignation but I recognise and appreciate her reasons for doing so.
A committee meeting has been held and Wendy Perera has been appointed as acting secretary, in accordance with our constitution. Wendy has experience of being the working test and field trial secretary of a gundog club in the Isle of Wight. So, I am confident that there will be a smooth and seamless transition. Wendy’s contact details can be found on the Club’s website or in the front of the Spring 2015 newsletter.
