There’s an IWS get-together on Saturday 24 October in the Surrey Hills, starting from the pretty village of Holmbury St Mary.
Patsy Drake and her IWS Evie will be leading us on a circular walk in the Hurtwood, part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Patsy has worked out two walks for us - in the morning our destination is an Iron Age Fort viewing area, and in the afternoon a small lake, deep enough for the dogs to swim. Come along for all or part of the day.
We meet at 10.45 to set off walking at 11.00. Meeting point is at the Royal Oak pub, Holmbury St Mary, RH5 6PG. Park in the pub carpark or on the roads around the village green. We repair to the pub for drinks and/or lunch after our morning walk.
